Like much of his earlier work, Rajiv Joseph’s new play is a busy assemblage of story lines held together by his “dazzling feel for theater magic,” said the Houston Press. As surreal subplots spin out from its central story—about an artist creating a commissioned work for the headquarters of a shady securities firm—Monster at the Door proves to be “funny, gruesome, and beautiful, often all at the same time.”
