The mother of Miami Heat basketball star LeBron James was arrested last week for allegedly assaulting a valet parking attendant, said the New York Daily News. A surveillance video released this week shows Gloria James, 46, arguing combatively with police officers who arrested her at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami. The arrest came after she allegedly slapped the attendant because he was taking too long to retrieve her car. “It’s very sensitive because it’s your mother,” said James. “You try not to let it be a distraction.”
