Jewel narrowly avoided serious injury this week when her car was struck by an emergency vehicle. The singer, 36, who is pregnant, escaped with only soreness and bruises after her Cadillac SUV was T-boned by a volunteer fire department truck in rural Stephenville, Texas. “Everything is fine-me & the baby r ok,” she later wrote on Twitter. “Real sore and banged up-but so glad to be walking around.’’
