Show of the week: Breakout Kings
A&E's new action drama about convicts who've been chosen by U.S. marshals to chase after prison escapees delivers pulpy fun and flashes of wit.
Prison Break meets The Dirty Dozen in this new action drama about a pair of U.S. marshals who’ve assembled a team of convicts to pursue prison escapees. For the misfit hunters, reduced sentences are the potential rewards, and each character brings to the chase a borderline personality but also a handy skill: Erica is a seductive con woman, Lloyd a gambling-addicted psychologist. Once the premise is established, the show delivers pulpy fun and flashes of wit. Domenick Lombardozzi and Laz Alonso play the team’s squabbling co-leaders. Sunday, March 6, at 10 p.m., A&E
