Prosecutors filed felony charges against Lindsay Lohan for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace, said RadarOnline.com. A Venice, Calif., boutique claims video surveillance shows the actress, 24, walking out of the store wearing the necklace without paying for it. Lohan claims store employees gave her the necklace on loan and that her stylist forgot to return it. Lohan has told friends that the district attorney in the case, Dannette Meyers, “is out to get me, and is using me so she can get elected.” In response, Meyers said the actress’s case will be handled with “fairness and justice.” If convicted of a felony, Lohan—who is on probation for a DUI conviction—could face a prison term.
