Pile of trash foils suicide attempt
A New York City man who tried to kill himself by jumping from a ninth-story window landed, alive, in a pile of uncollected garbage bags. The mansion’s many mattresses are “old, worn, and stained,” says St. James. Out-of-control camel gets tasered
Mississippi police say they had no choice but to Taser an out-of-control camel. Deputy Ed Merwin says officers were summoned after the animal strayed from an exotic-animal sanctuary and attacked a woman’s car. As he cautiously approached the camel, says Merwin, “the animal was not complying with my commands. At this time the animal was Tasered once,” whereupon it ran away. Police said they were told the camel is usually quite gentle and are investigating to find out “what got him fired up.’’
