Gossip: Katy Perry, Russell Brand
The couple exchanged vows at the end of a six-day Hindu wedding celebration, and they rode off amid a procession of 21 camels, horses, and elephants.
Singer Katy Perry and comedian Russell Brand were married this week in a lavish ceremony in a tiger preserve in northern India, said People.com. The couple exchanged vows before a Christian minister—and Perry family friend—at the end of a six-day Hindu wedding celebration in which the couple treated guests to shopping sprees, song and dance performances, and safari excursions. The festivities were capped with Brand and Perry riding off amid a procession of 21 camels, horses, and elephants in the style of Indian royalty.
