Gossip: Brett Favre, Jenn Sterger
Did Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre harass New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger?
The National Football League has launched an investigation into claims that Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre sent lewd pictures and voice messages to New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger during the 2008 season. In the messages, which were posted on sports website Deadspin.com, a man who sounds like Favre—who played for the Jets in 2008—suggests that Sterger, a former Playboy model, meet the married, 41-year-old quarterback for a tryst in his hotel room. She was later sent photos of male genitalia, which the website said were Favre’s. Two female massage therapists who work for the Jets also say Favre harassed them. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league was gathering facts for its investigation, and would issue findings, and possible penalties, “as soon as possible.”
