Show of the week: Rubicon
In this tensely atmospheric conspiracy thriller, every character seems suspect and every detail a cryptic clue.
Though it’s reminiscent of 1970s conspiracy thrillers such as Three Days of the Condor and The Parallax View, this intriguing new series feels fresh, especially in light of the recent unmasking of Russian sleeper agents. James Badge Dale (The Pacific) stars as a researcher for a Manhattan-based government intelligence agency who seems to uncover more suspicious activity within his own organization than he does outside of it. In this tensely atmospheric show, every character seems suspect and every detail a cryptic clue. Sunday, Aug. 1, at 8 p.m., AMC
