Federal authorities this week said they would auction off several pieces of high-end jewelry given to actress Anne Hathaway by ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, a convicted con man. The FBI will sell the items and give proceeds to Follieri’s victims, from whom he solicited hundreds of thousands of dollars while posing as a representative of the Vatican. The jewelry includes a $25,000 Rolex watch, diamond earrings, and a pearl necklace.
