Elizabeth Edwards is determined to prevent Rielle Hunter from raising her children should she lose her battle with cancer, said the New York Daily News. Sources say Edwards is exploring all options to block her estranged husband, former presidential candidate John Edwards, from rearing their daughter Emma, 12, and son Jack, 12, if he someday chooses to marry Hunter, his former mistress. “Elizabeth doesn’t want Rielle anywhere near them,” says a friend. She’s now grooming her 28-year-old daughter, Cate, to take over parenting responsibilities when she dies.
