Johnny Depp played a real-life hero this week when he stopped a friend from being mugged, said the London Sun. The actor, 46, and British singer Stephen Jones were leaving a recording studio in Los Angeles when a man waving a broken beer bottle accosted Jones and demanded money. Depp jumped into the scuffle, and the mugger stopped cold when he recognized him. “I ain’t stealing from Captain Jack,” the man said, referring to Depp’s swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean character. Depp gave the man some money and told him to “straighten up your life!”
