Animal-rights activists are protesting a new reality show that features former boxer Mike Tyson and the sport of pigeon racing. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says the racing birds “often end up injured or so exhausted that they’re unable to fly.” A spokeswoman for Animal Planet says the pigeons are “cherished and respected by their owners.’’
