Instead of going gentle into that good night, the choral group Young@Heart—whose average age is 80—chooses to get loud, performing covers of hard-rock hits by the likes of the Clash, the Ramones, and Jimi Hendrix. This beguiling documentary follows the group over seven weeks of preparation for a new show, as it struggles to deal with the sudden deaths of two of its members.
