In light of his embarrassing interruption of Taylor Swift’s MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech last month, Kanye West is taking time out at a Hindu ashram in India in an attempt to “turn his life around.” A source close to West tells Star that the rapper, 32, “feels terrible about hurting Taylor and sees it as another sign that his life is going in the wrong direction since his mother died” of surgical complications in 2007. West recently canceled his upcoming tour with Lady Gaga to make time for the retreat.
