Elton John’s attempt to adopt a 14-month-old Ukrainian boy may end in disappointment. The 62-year-old singer had hoped to adopt an HIV-positive child named Lev, whom he and longtime partner David Furnish met during a recent tour of a Ukrainian orphanage. “He’s stolen my heart,” said John of the toddler.
