Russell Crowe challenged an Australian reporter to a 12-mile bicycle race after she mocked him for halting a recent bike ride to smoke and down three tacos. A spokesman for the 45-year-old actor called gossip columnist Annette Sharp with the message, “Get on your bike, Russell wants you to go riding with him. Are you ready to die?” Sharp accepted the challenge, and struggled to keep up with Crowe, who praised her courage.
