Paula Abdul last week turned down more than $10 million and walked away from American Idol after eight seasons on the hit show. “My understanding is that her only issue is money,” said Peter Rice, the chairman of Fox Entertainment, which had offered Abdul an eight-figure, multi-year deal, amounting to a 30 percent raise. Abdul says she is considering “many wonderful” opportunities, including a judging position at another reality show.
