Anabela Mota, aka Jazella Moore: The porn star who got husband Scott Janke fired

The leaders of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., has come up with "one of the stupidest reasons for firing an admittedly effective city manager," said Tim Rivers in DailyKos. The Fort Myers Beach Council voted 5-0 to fire their Town Manager Scott Janke because he married an adult film star -- Anabela Mota, who goes by the name Jazella Moore in porn films. "Just how backwards are these dolts?"

The council members say they have nothing against Scott Janke or Anabela Mota Janke personally, said Bob Petcher in the Cape Coral, Fla., Daily Breeze. But they say that anyone who knew that this news could come out -- Scott and Anabela Janke included -- should have come forward and told the council members, because it was bound to be a distraction. Councilman Bob Raymond said Janke showed "bad judgment" by failing to speak up and letting the council get blindsided.

If the Fort Myers Beach council wanted to avoid negative publicity, said the Naples, Fla., Daily News in an editorial, it certainly went about it the wrong way. "Look at the national publicity glare their decision has attracted." It will take the town a long time to live down the ridicule the council is getting for its "shock and disapproval." But the scandal might end up helping Scott Janke and Anabela Mota Janke -- the publicity might be just what Jazella Moore needed to shine as a porn star.
