Gossip: Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson's custom-built casket was modeled after the extravagant casket of music legend James Brown.
The casket Michael Jackson was buried in this week was a custom-built model fashioned from bronze, plated with 14-carat gold, and lined with plush velvet. Jackson was impressed by an extravagant casket at the funeral of music legend James Brown three years ago, says the New York Daily News, and ordered one for himself. It cost $25,000.
