Gossip: Christie Brinkley
When a dream life turns into a nightmare.
At her divorce trial last week, supermodel Christie Brinkley, 54, broke into tears as she described her marriage to architect Peter Cook as “beyond your wildest nightmare.” Brinkley testified that she thought she had a dream life until she learned that Cook was sleeping with a 19-year-old employee. In his testimony, Cook confessed to the affair and to spending $3,000 a month on Internet pornography. Cook had asked that the trial—which will determine custody of the couple’s two children—be conducted privately, but Brinkley insisted on holding it in open court “to get at the truth,” said her lawyer.
