A deadly shootout litters the streets of southern Lebanon with bullet casings

Southern Lebanon suffered a deadly shootout yesterday. Followers of Sunni sheik Ahmad al-Assir attacked soldiers of the Hezbollah-led Shiite army, killing at least 16 people in Sidon, Lebanon's third-largest city. The violent clashes over the past two days have effectively rendered the area a war zone.
