According to Sky sources, a £50m bid by Arsenal for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been rejected by Borussia Dortmund. The Gabon star is wanted by Arsenal to replace Alexis Sanchez, and talks are ongoing between the two clubs. Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud could also join Dortmund as part of a possible swap deal, says Sky.
Maycon: Corinthians to Arsenal
The Gunners are also interested in signing Corinthians’ “wonderkid” Maycon. The Brazilian midfielder has been watched by Arsenal scouts, says The Sun, and has impressed with his performances. Corinthians would be looking for a fee of around £9m, according to the newspaper.
Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri: Roma to Chelsea
A Chelsea bid for Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri has been accepted, reports The Guardian. The deal, believed to be for £44m plus add-ons of £13.2m, could see striker Dzeko and defender Palmieri join the Blues before next week’s transfer deadline.
Aden Flint: Bristol City to Brighton and Hove Albion
Bristol City have rejected a £6m bid from Brighton for centre-half Aden Flint, Sky Sports reports. The 6ft 6in defender, who was a target for Birmingham City last summer, is contracted to stay at Ashton Gate until the end of the 2019-20 season.
Lazar Markovic: Liverpool to Lokomotiv Moscow
Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic could be about to end his stint at Anfield by signing for Lokomotiv Moscow. According to the Daily Mirror, the Russian side are interested in the 23-year-old Serbian winger, who has been a flop at Liverpool since signing for £20m in 2014. HITC reports that West Brom could also bid for Markovic.
Guido Carrillo: Monaco to Southampton
Guido Carrillo is to sign for Southampton, after Monaco agreed to sell the striker for £19.2m. The Daily Telegraph says that the deal has not yet been finalised but that Carrillo is expected to move before the transfer deadline on 31 January.
