Liverpool transfer news: Dortmund ace Aubameyang is Klopp’s top target
Real Madrid ‘interested’ in signing Reds’ scoring machine Mohamed Salah
Liverpool are poised to do a bit of business in next month’s transfer window with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang expected to finally sign for the Reds, while Real Madrid are edging closer to agreeing terms for Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge is tipped to sign for AC Milan.
According to the Daily Express, Jurgen Klopp has made Aubameyang his priority in the new year having decided to cut his losses with Sturridge and sell the England frontman to the Italian giants.
Gabon goal machine Aubameyang has long been linked with a move to Anfield and it’s believed that Klopp had an offer for him rejected in the summer. Since then the African ace has fallen out of favour with the German club, receiving a suspension from Dortmund earlier in the season after arriving late for training and then last weekend he was shown a red card against Schalke.

The Express says that Dortmund have concluded that the time is right to sell Aubameyang and although there is interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, it’s reported by German sources that Liverpool are in pole position because of Klopp’s history with the Bundesliga outfit.
Meanwhile the Daily Mail claims that Real Madrid are “interested in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool”, and to substantiate their declaration the paper quotes Egypt manager Hector Cuper.
Salah was linked to the European champions last season and apparently their interest has only increased in recent weeks with coach Zinedine Zidane eager to find a reliable replacement for the injury-ravaged Gareth Bale.
Salah, who has 12 Premier League goals this season, is top of Zidane’s shopping list and when asked about the rumours by Egyptian broadcaster ON Sport TV, Cuper said: “I’ve received news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah, but let’s not rush things. To me, he is in an amazing position right now.”
It’s believed that Liverpool could be ready to listen to any Real Madrid approach, provided they are successful in landing Aubameyang in January.
