Spurs transfer news: Mousa Dembele linked with Juventus
A move for the Tottenham midfielder could depend on the Italian side’s chase for Liverpool’s Emre Can
If Tottenham are set out to miss out on bringing back Gareth Bale, might they themselves be on the brink of losing Mousa Dembele to Juventus?
The London Evening Standard says that the Italian champions are monitoring his “contract situation” and could make a move for the 30-year-old midfielder next month.
The Standard says that Juventus “were hugely impressed by the Belgian’s performance” when the two clubs met in the Champions League earlier this season, and they realise that Dembele’s contract expires at the end of the next season.

Spurs won’t want to lose him on a free next year so Juventus might try and tempt the Londoners to let him go with a big-money offer this summer.
Much will depend on whether the Turin outfit can prise Emre Can from Anfield but it appears that the Liverpool playmaker may slip through their fingers because of his ongoing back injury that has prematurely ended his season and called into question his possible exit from the Reds.
“I am asking myself what the situation is,” admitted general manager Giuseppe Marotta to Italian newspaper Tuttosport. “We want to conclude this soap opera in around 10 days. The player is right to evaluate all opportunities, so we will wait and see what he wants to do.”
