Chelsea and PSG target Higuain
There’s a welcome return for an old Transfer Talk favourite with the news that Gonzalo Higuain is being pursued by Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
In recent years the Argentine ace has been linked with most of the Premier League powerhouses, but he’s remained loyal to Juventus for whom he’s scored more than 50 goals in two seasons.

But according to talkSPORT, PSG and the Blues are “exploring the possibility of signing the Argentina international”. That’s because rumours in the Italian press suggest that Juventus have decided to cash in on the South American sharpshooter now that’s he turned 30. It’s believed that the Italian champions would want around £50m for Higuain.
Blues keen on Martial
Might that influence Chelsea’s courtship of Manchester United frontman Anthony Martial? Metro claims that the Blues are keen on bringing the 22-year-old Frenchman to Stamford Bridge but he’s reluctant to commit until Antonio Conte’s future is resolved.
Metro says that decision “will be made in the next week” with Chelsea expected to part company with their Italian manager.

Top of his wish-list is Martial, who according to Metro is “considering his future at Old Trafford and has put off contract talks with the club over concerns about his lack of playing time”.
Although United would prefer to offload Martial overseas it’s believed they would be prepared to sanction a move to Chelsea if a suitably exorbitant transfer fee is paid.
Chase is on for Lewandowski
Finally, the Daily Express confirms that Chelsea are “ready to enter into the £80m chase for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski”.
The Polish striker said he wants a new challenge earlier this week and according to the paper his agent, Pini Zahavi, is well connected to Abramovich and that is likely to prove decisive in a transfer tussle with other clubs.
