Premier League transfer news and rumours
Harry Maguire: Leicester City to Manchester United
Manchester United are stepping up their chase for Harry Maguire by making an enquiry for the Leicester City defender, the Daily Mirror reports.
Maguire’s stock has risen since his impressive World Cup for England, sending his value soaring to £65m. That will not deter United boss Jose Mourinho, however, who is keen to strengthen his defence.

The Mirror says that Leicester are willing to offer Maguire a new contract worth more than £100,000-a-week, but the Daily Mail adds that the 25-year-old is “convinced he will leave” before the end of the transfer window.
If Mourinho does want to bring Maguire to Old Trafford then he must first sell one of the centre-halfs already on the books. The Mail says that Mourinho is likely to keep Eric Bailly but that the other four - Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Victor Lindelof - are all dispensable.
Ante Rebic: Eintracht Frankfurt to Manchester United
The Red Devils have also “made contact” in a bid to secure a signing, approaching German club Eintracht Frankfurt about their winger Ante Rebic. The Croatian starred at the World Cup in Russia and has also been linked with Arsenal and Bayern Munich. (Daily Mail)
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: Lazio to Chelsea
Chelsea are the latest club linked with a big-money move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbian has been a target for Manchester United and Real Madrid, but it’s reported that the 23-year-old “would favour a switch to Stamford Bridge”. (Independent)
Leon Bailey: Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea/Roma
Chelsea are also interested in Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, but the Blues will face competition from Roma. The Italians missed out on signing Malcom from Bordeaux and are “on the lookout for another wide player”. (London Evening Standard)
Yerry Mina: Barcelona to Everton/Wolves
The Daily Mail reports that Everton remain keen on Barcelona and Colombia defender Yerry Mina, and have sent director of football Marcel Brands to Spain for negotiations with the Catalans. Everton also want Mina’s Barca teammate Lucas Digne. Sky Sports adds that Wolves have “joined the hunt” for 23-year-old Mina.
Zaha wants to leave Palace
Wilfried Zaha reportedly wants to leave Crystal Palace in order to play for a club in the Champions League. Zaha is valued at £70m and has been linked with Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund. (London Evening Standard)
Maxime Gonalons: Roma to Crystal Palace
According to reports in Italy, Crystal Palace have bid £8.9m for Roma’s Maxime Gonalons. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has won eight caps for France. (Sky Sports)
Aleksandr Golovin: CSKA Moscow to Monaco
Russian World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin has snubbed Chelsea and chosen to sign for Monaco. The 22-year-old was also a target for Juventus. (London Evening Standard)
