Spurs transfer news: Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, Jack Grealish
Real Madrid, PSG, Man Utd and Juventus are linked with England star Trippier
Trippier being tracked
Kieran Trippier could be the subject of an 11th-hour transfer bid from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, claims The Sun, with the paper reporting that both clubs are “keeping tabs” on the England and Tottenham full-back.
Arguably England’s player of the World Cup, the 27-year-old’s stock has risen considerably this summer and the Sun now says he “is high on the wishlist of a whole host of top European clubs”.

Leading the chase are Real Madrid, with the Spanish champions looking to boost fans’ morale following the departure of coach Zinedine Zidane and star striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
PSG, meanwhile, have Dani Alves sidelined with a serious injury and are considering a move for the Bury-born Trippier.
Mourinho also interested
The Daily Mail also carries the story and says that Juventus and Manchester United have also been considering Trippier in recent weeks.
United’s defensive frailties are well known and Jose Mourinho has so far drawn a blank in signing a world-class blocker. With Antonio Valencia well into his thirties, Mourinho is keen to freshen up his defence and Trippier could be the object of a late bid from the Special One.
Ferdinand: Alderweireld all day long
United are also still being linked with a move for Spurs centre-half Toby Alderweireld. And former United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has urged his old club to sign the Belgian instead of Leicester’s Harry Maguire.
Ferdinand told the Daily Mirror: “Harry Maguire did great at the World Cup, but of the players potentially available he would not be my first choice. I would go for Alderweireld, all day long, because he is suited to the way United play.”
First signing soon?
Spurs are the only club in the Premier League yet to make a summer signing but could they be about to break their duck by bringing in Jack Grealish?
The Evening Standard says that Tottenham “are keen to sign the 22-year-old before Thursday’s 5pm transfer deadline” but they and Aston Villa can’t agree on a price for the midfielder.
“The owners have made it clear they don’t want to sell him and that still stands,” said Villa manager Steve Bruce. “Now if they get to a magical figure, then we will see. What that magical figure is I do not know.”
The Standard thinks it knows, however, with the paper saying that Villa are “looking for about £35m for Grealish”. But according to Sky Sports that is £10m more than the bid tabled by Tottenham on Tuesday evening.
