Vardy on Chelsea’s striker shortlist
Chelsea’s search for a new striker has seen them linked with Gonzalo Higuain, Edinson Cavani, Mauro Icardi and Callum Wilson - and the latest attacker reportedly on their hit-list is Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy.
The Blues are aiming to solve their striker problem this month, the Daily Express reports, and are considering a shock move for Vardy, who turns 32 tomorrow.

Alvaro Morata is expected to leave and Chelsea have eyed AC Milan’s Higuain as a replacement. Bournemouth’s Wilson is also heavily linked and Sky Sports reports Chelsea are prepared to pay £50m if a deal for Higuain falls through.
Spanish clubs wants Morata
If Chelsea can find a replacement then they will allow Alvaro Morata to leave Stamford Bridge. La Liga sides Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are reportedly interested. (The Daily Telegraph)
Arnautovic bid rejected
West Ham United have turned down a £35m offer for striker Marko Arnautovic from a Chinese Super League club. If the offer is increased to nearly £50m then the Hammers could consider selling the 29-year-old Austrian. (Daily Mail)
City eye Rice
Another West Ham star in demand is Declan Rice. Manchester City are reportedly interested in the 19-year-old midfielder and see him as a long-term replacement for Brazilian star Fernandinho, 33. Rice signed a new five-and-a-half year deal with West Ham last month. (The Sun)
Real join race for Koulibaly
Manchester United will face a battle from Real Madrid to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. The Senegal international could be available for around £90m. (Daily Mail)
Gunners make offer for Banega
According to reports in Spain Arsenal are still interested in Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega. It’s claimed that the Gunners have made an “irresistible” offer to the Spanish club for the 30-year-old Argentina international. (ESPN/Estadio Deportivo)
£50m for Tarkowski
Liverpool are in need of defensive reinforcements and could make a shock loan move for Burnley’s James Tarkowski. The Clarets have slapped a £50m price tag on the England international. (The Sun)
Andersen to replace Alderweireld?
Toby Alderweireld’s Tottenham contract has been extended by a year but a clause in the deal means the Belgium defender could leave for £25m this summer. Spurs are lining up Sampdoria’s 22-year-old Danish international Joachim Andersen as a replacement should Alderweireld depart. (Independent)
Gabbiadini set to leave Saints
Sampdoria are close to making their own signing from the Premier League with Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini set to join the Italian club. (Sky Sports)
