Joan Didion is branching out: The beloved 80-year-old novelist is the face of Céline’s Spring 2015 campaign.

The luxury line has released the first image of its newest model, shot by Juergen Teller. In it, Didion looks simple and stylish, wearing oversized sunglasses, a black turtleneck, and a gold pendant. It's true that most of her fans will probably have a hard time being able to afford anything by Céline (do they make socks?), but everyone can appreciate Didion's effortless sense of style.
