As the U.S. returns to work after the New Year's break, 2014 is now solidly in the rearview mirror. But before it fades out of sight completely, here's a quirky video of AFP's best videographics, as selected and published by AFP. It's an idiosyncratic use for expensive infographics the French news agency will likely never use again, but divorced from context and set to a jittery soundtrack, the graphics are pleasantly mesmerizing. Some of the stories are obvious — Ebola, ISIS, the vanished Malaysia Air flight — but others mostly just invite questions (drones flying over sunflowers?). Enjoy this one last look at 2014. --Peter Weber
