Jim Rome tweets that marching band members are 'dorks,' dorks respond in kind

"Is there anyone not in a marching band who thinks those dorks running around with their instruments are cool?"

So went a tweet from CBS Sports Radio host Jim Rome — which has since been deleted, but not before The Washington Post procured a screenshot of it — earlier this week.

The "dorks" were not amused, and took to Twitter to respond to Rome's critique:
