Watch the embarrassing fumble that clinched Florida State's crushing Rose Bowl loss

Florida State made plenty of mistakes in their crushing loss to Oregon during yesterday's Rose Bowl game, but one dismal play stands out from the rest: a costly fourth-down fumble by quarterback Jameis Winston.
As Florida State attempted to make up a 19-point deficit in the third quarter, Winston tumbled backwards. The football flew out of his hands, and was instantly recovered by Oregon for a defensive touchdown.
In a post-game interview, Winston addressed the play, which was part of a loss that ended Florida State's 29-game winning streak. "I never thought I would slip, throw the ball backwards," he said. "It was fourth down, so obviously I'm trying to compete my tail off to try to get us in a good situation."
