Former President George H.W. Bush has been released after a weeklong stay in Houston's Methodist Hospital.
The 90-year-old former president was taken to the hospital by ambulance on December 23 after experiencing shortness of breath, spending the holiday week in doctors' care as a precautionary measure.
In a statement, spokesman Jim McGrath said Bush is now "resting at home, grateful to the doctors and nurses for their superb care."
