Watch Oscar host Neil Patrick Harris deliver his first promo

ABC began its buildup to the Feb. 22 Academy Awards show with a promo from first-time host Neil Patrick Harris this week.

"Instead of traditional presents, give (your family) the gift of simply telling them to watch me host the Oscars," Harris tells viewers in the holiday-themed clip.

The actor has hosted the Tony Awards once and the Emmy Awards twice, and he has performed at the Oscars in the past. Watch him take center stage in the clip, below. --Sarah Eberspacher
