You just might be able to see The Interview on Christmas Day after all: The Wrap is reporting that Sony Pictures will release the controversial comedy simultaneously in theaters and via video on demand.
The Plaza theater in Atlanta and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin have said they will distribute the film, and the Art House Convergence, a coalition of small independent movie theaters, told Sony on Monday its members were "willing and anxious to screen" The Interview, The Wrap says.
A person familiar with the plan says that Sony will announce the film's release sometime Tuesday.
