ObamaCare enrollments hit 6.4 million in one month

ObamaCare enrollments through the federally run insurance exchange rose to about 6.4 million as of last week, the Department of Health and Human Services said Tuesday.

Of that total, about 70 percent were customers renewing policies they bought last year. The overall figure does not include the more than 1 million signups via state-run exchanges since ObamaCare's second open enrollment period began Nov. 15.

The surge of enrollments to date puts the law on pace to reach the Obama administration's goal of 9.1 million signups before the enrollment period closes in February.
