Scott Walker agreed to display a menorah, signed letter 'Thank you and Molotov'
Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.) decided to get in the holiday spirit by displaying a menorah in his office. Unfortunately, the news was overshadowed by a gaffe in the letter he sent Franklyn Gimbel, a Milwaukee attorney and chair of the Wisconsin Center District, during his time as the Milwaukee County executive.
Gimbel asked Walker to display a menorah at the Milwaukee County Courthouse to celebrate "The Eight Days of Chanukah." In Walker's response to Gimbel, he signs the undated letter "Thank you again and Molotov."
Walker probably meant to say "mazel tov" rather than evoking thoughts of incendiary weapons. Or maybe he's just a really big fan of the Mexican rock band.
