After a five-year hiatus, Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator is back on movie screens in Terminator: Genisys, an ambitious attempt to reinvent the mind-bending sci-fi franchise.
The new film returns Schwarzenegger to a major role, leading a cast that includes Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, and Jai Courtney. From the looks of this first trailer, Terminator: Genisys looks to be drawing much of its inspiration from the action-packed thrills of Terminator 2: Judgment Day:
The Terminator franchise was once one of Hollywood's most lucrative, but a string of disappointing sequels — including 2009's dismal Terminator Salvation — have tarnished the brand's reputation. We'll see if Terminator: Genisys can return to franchise to its former glory when it premieres in July 2015.
