Egyptian militant group claims it killed American oil worker

The Egyptian militant group Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, which refers to itself as the Sinai Province, claims it has killed a U.S. oil worker.

The group, which is allied with the Islamic State, made the announcement on its official Twitter account late Sunday. Ansar Beit al-Maqdis claims to have killed 58-year-old William Henderson, publishing photos of his passport. According to Henderson's passport, he worked for Apache Corp. and Qarun Petroleum Co.
