Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (D) on Sunday warned that Hillary Clinton's perceived cakewalk to the Democratic presidential nomination could irk voters in 2016.
"I think that the narrative that it's inevitable is off-putting to regular voters," he said on Meet the Press. "People read inevitability as entitlement."
Patrick prefaced his remarks by saying Clinton would be a "terrific" candidate. He has previously mused about the potential for Clinton's longstanding frontrunner status to backfire. --Jon Terbush
