Remember when Ebola threatened to destroy America? Remember when self-serving politicians warned that ISIS militants could smuggle the virus across the border in the form of biological suicide bombers?

What a difference one month makes, as this Google trendline shows:

The October spike came as Texas confirmed the nation's first Ebola case, prompting Americans to panic that the virus would rapidly spread. That never happened. So now that zero Americans have Ebola, and with the midterms in the rearview mirror, interest in the issue has waned to nearly zilch.
