Rapper delivers emotional Ferguson speech at nearby show

Killer Mike, one half of rap duo Run the Jewels, addressed the Ferguson grand jury verdict before his St. Louis performance Monday night.

At the packed Ready Room a few miles from the protests, Killer Mike walked out and tearfully expressed his anger after speaking in support of Michael Brown's family and protestors.

"You motherf--kers got me today," he said, referring to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's office. "You kicked me on my ass today because I have a 20-year-old son and I have a 12-year-old son and I'm so afraid for them."

Killer Mike is no stranger to speaking out about Ferguson, as Pitchfork notes. He previously wrote a lengthy Instagram post, penned an op-ed, and appeared on CNN to discuss the shooting.
