The decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of Michael Brown has led to an emotional, intensely polarized reaction that continues today. A large part of the frustration comes from a feeling of helplessness. There are plenty of people who want to do something to make a difference in the Ferguson community, but don't know how.

If you're looking for a simple, practical way to help Ferguson right now, here's one option: donate to the Ferguson Municipal Public Library. Though schools are closed, the library is staying open, and volunteers and teachers are teaming up to provide programs for children there, with more events planned for the days to come.

Click here to go to the library's website. The donation button is in the top-right corner.
