Hell on Wheels will return for a fifth and final season
AMC has announced that its Western drama Hell on Wheels will return for a fifth and final season of 14 episodes.
Like Breaking Bad and Mad Men, the network will split the final season of Hell on Wheels over two years; the first seven episodes will air in summer 2015, with the latter half airing one year later.
Though it lacks both the buzz of The Walking Dead and the critical acclaim of Mad Men, Hell on Wheels has been a quiet but solid ratings performer for the network — particularly on Saturday nights, where it serves as the anchor for a block of Western programming.
