Ed Gillespie concedes to Mark Warner in Virginia Senate race

Ed Gillespie, the Republican challenger in Virginia who came close to pulling off an upset to unseat Democratic Senator Mark Warner, has officially conceded. While Warner claimed victory just after midnight on Election Night with 99 percent of the votes counted, he was up by a mere 12,000 votes at the time — enough for Gillespie to potentially request a recount.

But Gillespie said that he didn't think a recount would change the outcome.
