Patrick Cannon, former Democratic mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, was arrested by the FBI on corruption charges earlier this year, and yesterday, he apparently cast a ballot, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Cannon, who lost his voting privileges officially on Oct. 14 when he was sentenced to 44 months in prison, had his early vote (cast on Oct. 30) challenged Tuesday night. If found guilty of voting illegally, Cannon would be in violation of his bond, and could go to prison sooner.
