Sandra Fluke, the women's rights activist whom Rush Limbaugh famously called a "slut," won't be serving on California's state Senate.

Fluke lost to fellow Democrat Ben Allen in California's 26th district. Allen won the Democratic primary in June and held a 22-point lead over Fluke when more than half of the votes were tallied, according to L.A. Weekly.

Both Allen and Fluke raised more than $1 million each for their midterm campaigns.
