Taylor Swift will headline New Year's Eve in Times Square

Taylor Swift's grand scheme to conquer all of popular culture has just achieved a major victory. The pop star will headline the long-running special Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, which is held every year in Times Square.

In a statement, Seacrest announced that Swift's performance will be the culmination of the almost six-hour broadcast, which will feature "an unprecedented number of musical acts" — none of whom merited specific mention, because they're not Taylor Swift.
