A man jumped the fence of the White House on Wednesday night, before he was subdued by guard dogs and Secret Service agents on the North Lawn. "Dog got him," a Secret Service spokesman explained. [UPDATE: The Secret Service has identified the fence-jumper as Dominic Adesanya of Bel Air, Maryland. He hasn't been charged yet, but charges are coming.]
The attempted intrusion comes weeks after another man, Omar Gonzalez, jumped the fence and made it deep into the White House's interior, exposing embarrassing holes in the security surrounding the president. The incident was followed by a series of damaging revelations about other lapses by the Secret Service, suggesting the organization is badly in need of reform.
